ECA application

I have sent my certificates for ECA on 23rd april through DHL express and my documents were scheduled to be received by WES on 26th april, but i have checked my status and its showing 'waiting for required documents' .Can anybody tell me what might be the reason for my documents not being received by WES . On the WES website its given that we need to send formal application before the documents are scheduled to arrive at WES. How is this formal application sent and is it really necessary ? please tell me about it..

The formal application you are talking about is just simply creating an account on the WES website. Fill in your details, select your package and pay your fees. Then when they receive your docs they can match it up to your application.
My account was updated to documents received last Friday. It only took a day to update that status from when documents were received.
I used an express courier service that is supposed to take 2-4 days but it actually took 6.5 days!
