Hello, I am master student with full time job in reputed company in ONTARIO. I was in process of applying for ontario PNP but they closed it for this year because of quota ( more details here http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html ). Now, they will reopen in JAN 2017. I want to know if there is any other way to get PR?

FOLLOWING ARE MY DETAILS:
0. I came as international student in 2014.
1.I have Master's degree from ONtario university which makes me eligible for Ontario PNP.
2.I have full time job offer title "NETWORK ENGINEER" which comes under "NOC 2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers) SKILL TRADE A ".
3. I have valid OPEN work permit up to 2019 feb.
4. I have valid IELTS with 7.0 GENERAL(CORRECTED) band valid up to 2018 FEB
5. i have MBA from back home + bachelors from back home
6. I have work experience from back home + pay slips [ which i submitted while i applied for study visa ]

Please answer that:
--->>> which option is best for me right now to go for Permanent Residency?
OR
--->> should I wait for Ontario PNP to open but if i wait for OntarioPNP it will take around one year from now to get it AND then after getting ontario PNP it will take 1 more year to GET permanent residency.

Please advice I am pretty confused.

first make a EE profile and calculate ur CRS , i think you are CEC and if you have LMIA job then you get 600 additional points.

but as far as i know you shall have a good score

if your CRS is more than 460-470 then you might get a ITA to apply for PR in the next draw.

so first step calulate yoru CRS and make your EE profile and evaluate your educational credentials if its not canadian degree

hope this helps

if it did +1

+! Thanks a lot for replying to me, I really appreciate your time.

but I forgot to mention that I do not have 1 year work experience, I just started doing job like 2 months ago after completion of Masters

--> From your reply, I understood that CEC is good option for me?
--> Can I still create EE profile without 1520 hours?
--> Please tell me how do I figure out that my Job is LMIA?
--> DO I need some documents from HR department to prove that my job is LMIA? or Any documents I need from HR department?

Excuse me for my less knowledge about EE /CEC/ LMIA
Thank you

You are one impatient lad aren't you? Don't rush it. Let it take it's course, you have open work permit till 2019. That is a huge blessing.

Here is my advice: complete your 12 months experience then apply through CEC. This stream is designed for people like you, students and foreign workers with eligible Canadian experience. Stay patient. We all did.
On LMIA note, it's very difficult to obtain. It's possible but very difficult. Again CEC is your best option.

And yeah, do not create your EE if you are not eligible yet.

Read more forum threads for LMIA if you are interested to know more.

Best of luck,

Create EE profile now. You never know if you are eligible for FSW or not?
Also, it seems like you graduated in December, 2015 (just an educated guess). I don't know when you started your field job, but EE adds points of experience in one months advance i.e. they will add one year experience points in 11th month, points for two years in 23rd month.
So, create the profile and you shall see.
Too bad that Ontario stopped processing new applications for PNP else you would have been eligible for master's stream for PNP.

OP cannot create EE profile with IELTS Academic.

The first step would be to prepare for an IELTS GT test and then create EE profile.
Simultaneously apply for WES Evaluation for bachelors degree.

For CEC you will need 1 full year of Canadian experience.

I would strongly recommend not to discuss about LMIA with employer at this stage.
I am not too familiar with FSW but I believe if you opt for it you might need letters from previous employers.

It would be best to ask them first before planning for FSW.

Well he will need letter from his previous employer regardless. Also, the payslips.

He did not say if he has IELTS academic or GT either!

i agree with nmeka...

first step get ur ielts General test
second step wes for your bachelors if its not from canada
third step create EE profile and see what your score is (only if you can get employment letter and pay stubs from your previous employer from your home country).
then if your CRS is more than 460-470 which i think you shall have as you have canadian education , you might get a ITA to apply.
there is no harm in trying right now as it wont cost your much (just ielts fee and WES fee and if you get ITA you do not have to show Proof of funds as you have a job right now and you will only have to pay processing fee and RPRF which will be 1040$).

so if i was you i would give it a go.

hope this helps

Yes, because EE system calculates experience by months, not dates. So you have to be very careful and make sure that you do indeed already have the experience you got your points for, because your CRS score will be later reviewed by an IRCC officer, and they will count the days, not months.

Just a little correction: for FSW, you need a reference letter from your previous employer that meets the IRCC requirements. The pay stubs are an additional document that could support your case, but they are not a requirement.

As for the funds - I thought only people with LMIA jobs were exempt from the PoF requirement? Is it actually any job, not necessarily with LMIA?
