Early entry in Canada for Jan18 intake??

Hi,
I got my visa from Aug17 and i have to go to Vancover for Jan18 intake. My query is that Can i go early may be by Oct starting?? I can show funds around 2000 dollars.. i have heard if one go too early they are not allowed to enter canada and sent back!! Kindly Advice!

You can go early but how do you plan to survive on just 2000 dollars for 3 months given you cannot work until your course starts, do you have somewhere to stay already which is a major cost component.
 
Hey bro i also got my visa on 5 sept and planning to move on last dates of oct and my query is same

Yeh i do have place to stay with relatives.. but not sure if immigration will let me in before time..
 
I Applied for January admission which was suppose to start on 9th January 2017 , submitted my visa application 16th September 2016,,,,,,,,,Visa approved 26th January 2017. I missed my class,,,so i have to defer my admission till September 2017. My visa started counting from 26th January 2017,,,CIC didn't request for new admission letter. I traveled to Canada April 2017......5 months before my class which is September.... At the point of entry, Immigration officer only asked for my Passport and new admission letter....He issued my permit. 2 months i applied for study permit extension and it was approved.
