Hi, I've recently received Work Permit Support Letter from BC PNP, I'm coming back to Canada with my common-law partner. Together, we have over 1000 points in the Express Entry pool (I'm the primary applicant).

My question is simple - What is the earliest date we can come and be eligible to work in Canada? My employer needs me to be in Vancouver asap. Can we apply for any "bridging" or "open" work permit?

Additional question - Is my common-law partner going to get open work permit (or basically any work permit) when she comes with me?

Thank you!! :))

To be more detailed, I applied under "BC PNP - Express Entry BC - Skilled Worker" and my job is NOC category A.

Well, you need to apply for work permit using this letter. This is not "bridging" work permit. You can check current time for processing WP application on IRCC web site. I'm not certainly sure if you can apply for WP in the POE, you should check it with IRCC. Your spouse will be eligible for SOWP once you get job under NOC 0, A or B.

Yes I have a job category A. You say, that I need to apply using this letter - do I do it normally in MyCIC? Thank you!

Yes, you should apply through your MyCIC account and include BC wp support letter.
