Hi everyone,

i am applying for E visa for India. I am stuck in this question while applying.

I renewed my Indian Passport last year and the same was issued in Toronto.

For the below question “should I put the country of Issue as Canada or India?”

“Any other valid Passport/Identity Certificate(IC) held, Yes No

Country of Issue :

Passport/IC No. :

Date of Issue :

Place of Issue :

Nationality mentioned therein :”


The passport was issued by India but the country where the passport issued was Canada. So what should be the right answer? Anyone had the similar issue?

You don't need to mention Indian passport for valid passport question. It's for dual citizenship accepting country.

yeah you can mention it, but then the next question will be Yes if you have... laaoo batao kaunse visa par travel kiya thaa

Anyone got their e visa with mentioning in the E VISA Last Name then First name?

I got the e visa as

“Dear LAST NAME FIRST NAME”

Does this needs to be changed? Does the name needs to be in order? I.e, First Name + Last Name?

Any response will be appreciated.

If your first and last name is correct, then you don’t have to do anything.

Do we submit an Invitation letter from India to apply for E-Visa ? Also, we need to submit separate applications or our family(spouse and kids)? how long it takes for you receive the E-visa,after you submitted? Anyone recently got the e-visa for India, please help me on this.. thank you

Its a eVisa Tourist you will likely will be applying which does not require any invitation letter. Its only required in case of business and conference
