I have applied for OCI for my baby but it hasn't arrived yet. She is due to travel to India next week. So there isn't enough time to apply for a regular visa. I am considering the e-tourist Visa but since that only allows for 30 days. Is there any solution for her can stay more than 30 days? and will OCI be of any use if I receive it after flying to India?

Apply for 1 yr one which allows 180 days stay. If you get the OCI to India after it gets delivered in Canada, contact FRRO and change the status from e-visa to OCI which would then allow unlimited stay.

Hello all
E visa 30 days vs e visa 1 year ( tourist) processing time is same?? And the cost?
I booked flight for my baby on Aug 7th.
And iam staying for 3 months.
E visa ( 30 days) - I knew is quicker.
Anyone applied for 1 year? And can tell me the processing time?.

It's 24-72 hrs.

Thank you.
But why it is an option for 30 days and also one year. Obviously everyone will choose the year option.
Is the fees more?

And do you need to notary the document or any adult witness signature is enough when travelling with a baby( Canadian) to India with only one parent.
