Hey guys and especially PNP applicants who may know the answer....assuming you get your PR (and I am sure we all will sooner or later :)) do you have to land in the province that nominated you? For example, if you are an Ontario nominee, is it possible to land in say Vancouver, cross the border there, leave your Ontario forwarding address, spend a couple of days in Vancouver and then travel on to Toronto? I didn't see anywhere in the landing requirements that you have to land in the nominating province. Also, for people who are, for example, Quebec nominees it may be hard to travel straight to Quebec and they might have to go via Toronto. What's the view on this point?

Yes you can land in Vancouver but will have to provide Ontario address if you are eventually going to move there in few days time.

Are you PNP? If you haven't ordered gcms notes yet, do so in order to know what's holding your file.

Thanks for this! Just letting you guys know I got my PPR on 29 November. Here's my timeline:
AOR: 7 March 2017 (FSW PNP Outland)
Medicals Passed: 11 June 2017
Background check: form N/A to "we are processing" on 24 November.

Hang in there - they are slow but they do process it eventually. The thing to look out for (I think) is the date of your medicals because you will need to enter the country before that date so it means they will have to process you at least 1 month in advance in order to give you reasonable time to organise your travel. Good luck!
