Is there anybody who sent the passport to OTTAWA from USA .
please help with shipping options as I have seen bit confusion in the sending / return address process.

Ohh man, I hate to say this but your application is sent for Additional Security Screening and that takes a hell lot of time to finalize. The terms that they use when applications are sent to additional security screening are: 'Additional Verification', 'Assessment period may be outside of our processing times'. This normally happens if there is a red flag on your initial security screening if you have travelled to any war torn countries like Iran, Iraq, Syria, etc. or if you are a national / current resident of such countries. I wish you good luck, hope your security screening is finalized soon!
Do you think Israel is one of those countries? I visited Israel for vacation for about 4 days and it's in my travel history and my application is also super slow... Thank you!

Hi guys, I contacted CIC couple days ago and they got back to me saying the following :
Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.
"Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests."
So this means I am under security clearance and basically screwed right ?

From the trend and wordings, yes it looks like screening. But do not loose heart, CIC is unpredictable and things can happen faster too. Keep your hopes intact and high.
CIC 6 months timeline for EE is going to finish in few days... What should I do if I dont receive PRR mail within 6 months....

Sorry to hear, hopefully you get a positive response soon. Do you have an extensive travel or a citizen of a "high-potential" country or even travelled to one of those?
I traveled to one of those coutries. I also have a citizenship of one of those countries! How long is it gonna take the security check?
oh ok, not too sure, but I see a few people saying that they're experiencing long security screening periods if they've travelled or are from one of those countries.

last gcsm said MI2 reveiw required and A11.2 review required by case analyst on may 23rd and last response from CPC Ottawa on august 11th they said my application is in the queue waiting for officer review. I'm stressed as lawyers said that as my CRS decreased (due to a mistake when claiming education points ) from 444 to 430 so 11 points under min required it should already be rejected so upset if they are going to reject after 165 days
I already opened a new profile and got a new invitation so dont know if i should already submit a new application as everything is ready or should i hope to have miracle happening
