Duration work permit with New employer

i tried calling the CIC and the only thing they can tell me is that they are backed up.....although that kind of doesn't make much sense. You'd think they would get through some of these in a week....

Please keep the thread updated if you get a response from CIC.

I am afraid that my new employer is going to be concerned about the increase in processing. If things have gome well i should have received the approval by now.

good news...they finally started processing paper applications...they are now at April 22nd... keeping my fingers cross that they will not stop again....

Finally some releif on way for work permit applicants.
Could you let us know when u aplied and when you got a approval. That will help us plan to.
Mine has reached CIC on May 30th and as per their estimate at time I applied I should have got it by now

CIC got our aaplication on April 26. Still waiting to hear back.

Yeah, I saw that they are processing April 29th. Haven't heard anything yet. Hoping it's in the mail by now...

So still haven't received the work permit. I called the CIC and they said that they are still opening the stuff received from the week of April 29th so that's why it's still not be in the system. Total B.S.......

hi guys, i passed my application ( under in live in caregiver ) ( for new employer / change employer ) on may 25 2011 and still on process, " we receive ur aplication on may 25 2011 and we curetly still asesing ur aplication and we anticipating to be able to provide as a responce on july 26 2011" that the automated said, i dont know wat is that mean. and one more thing i just little confuse , what if i miss one of the docs req for the aplication or u forgot to sign the aplication, are they send back the aplication right away or not? thnx guys

try to call the automated in cic, call the cic hotline press 1 den after the voice come out press 2 then again if the voice come out press 7 then they will ask u the client id and birth year, u can check there if they aprove or they send u something or anything about ur aplication, i dont know if this automated is accurate and updated, just check if ur not bz, if u phone them just post some updates of ur aplication ^_^, thanx ;D ;D ;D

So my wife finally got her work permit. Apperently they lost the original application we sent. After numerous phone calls to the CIC we were finally told to send everything again with all the tracking info, but address it to Group Leader. Once he received it, it was processed the same day.

I heard my work permit processed and sent in mail on Aug23rd but not yet received. How long normally it will take deliver by canada post?
