duration to be mentioned in invitation letter for inviting sister to visit in Canada

Hello all
I am need of quick help.I want to apply visitor visa for my sister to visit us in Canada from India on the occasion of birthday of my daughter.
Do I have to mention exact number of days or can I ask it for few months in invitation letter.

If I ask for few days would visa officer just restrict for few days or still consider multiple enty.

Ask for not more then 2 weeks, if approved it will be multiple entry probably and one can stay little longer then. But Canada immigration don't consider Birthday as strong reason for visit.

The actual length of stay will be determined by CBSA at the border so whilst a visa might have a validity date that will not necessarily relate to any authorised stay assigned when arriving in Canada. As previous poster best to ask for a couple of weeks in the application and if on landing get more time then that would be a plus.
