DURATION of visa for how long????

For how long is visa issued for a 2 year programme? Can the VO issue u a one year visa and then say u have to apply for extension for remaining one year later? And what's the duration of visa if its a 2 semester (8 month) course? Is it one year visa?

So if my course is 2 years can they give me visa for 1 year even if my passport is valid for another 8 years? And in courses of 8 months from Jan to September how long is the visa given for?

I figured that already. Its a bisectioned question
1. Even if my passport is sufficiently valid, can they give me visa for a duration shorter than the length of the course?

2. How long will my visa be if I get an 8 month course? Aka does 8 months course qualify to get me a one year visa or will visa be for 8 months only??

yes..visa is just required to enter the country ..it can be single entry too(if u asked for it)..where as study permit will be for the duration of ur study.

same answer visa could be of any duration and u may get visa for 1 year for 8 month program however u may not get study permit for more than 8 months or in some cases 11 months to give u time for applying for pgwp

Oh oh.. I mean study permit only. I wasn't speaking of TRV I got that already. Pls read in this context and revert?

Actually it is supposed to be issued for 2 years plus 3 months.
