Duration of the study permit

Any body knows how long the study permit lasts beyond the end of the program?

As example: If my program starts Sep 2014 and ends May 2016 . So what will be the study permit valid until?

will it be the same period of program. exactly the same?? or will it be valid for months beyond the program end to allow me apply for Post Graduate Work Permit??

You will find some time. Probably 2-3 months.

Do you have an official letter of acceptance? It is written there, and USUALLY it is September 3, 2014 to August 31, 2016.
So you will have FOUR months to apply for your PGWP. (CIC advices to apply 90 days before SP expiry date, i.e. by May 31, 2016)

Yes, that is the instructions to CBSA as long as the passport is valid to that date. Whether they do it or not is their decision.

i submitted my passport on last Thursday any one know how long it take to send it back ?
i submitted it in vfs office and i paid 41$
any one here or any expert do guarantee my visa? thanks alot

That's odd. The actual study finishes on April 30, 2016.
But I think your suggestion also could be the case BECAUSE you NEVER know what they (CIC) decide! ;D

Exactly. In my application I wrote June 30 to cover convocation. My approval letter said my permit would be valid until august 30 2016. My study permit in my passport says valid until august 30 2016.

That is what I know. Studies finish on April 30, in acceptance letter is written August 31, visa is issued till Aug 31.

So I do not think that if studies end in April, August is written in acceptance letter but SP will be issued till November. ???

If studies end in August, then yes. But as studies end in April a permit wouldn't be issued through november.

Your study permit will have a 3 months extension at the end.

So based on the dates you stated, your study permit should be valid until August 2016. That's what my spouse got on her study permit. 3 months after graduation built in the permit which gives you enough time to apply for a PGWP without the need of bridging.
