Hi guys,
Just want to be sure on this: once you get an ITA, the Canadian Government has a max duration of 6 months to provide you with the PR (like it's compulsory and not a choice), or the duration is flexible, depending on external factors??

That's their target for the majority of applications. It is absolutely not compulsory.

Depending on circumstances, applications can also take longer than 6 months. Check some of the AOR in August, September threads. There are still people waiting on a decision even after 6 months.

Also, the time starts when you submit the application, not when you receive the ITA.

Ah I see, thx for such a quick reply :)

you can check average durations on the TRACKER

You can also click ANALYTICS - and insert your date of application, it will give an estimation of when to expect your PR.

Good luck
