The way it works is that IRCC may not necessarily be notified about your conviction if it ever happens. Usually the issue will be brought up the next time you have to deal with IRCC or if you travel and try to reenter the country later (which you should avoid now). This will allow you to continue working for the remainder of your work permit visa and will give you plenty of time to prepare for and plan your next step.

Yes, this is what I'm hoping for. I have a plan, which won't give me the full 5 years of my rehabilitation period in Canada, but it may give me a little more time. I'm not leaving the country at all until im forced too or until my legal status runs out. After that i will wait till i can apply for a pardon, and apply for PR from outside canada after that. Thank you again for your assistance and non judgement.
