Thanks SATDXB... yeah i have noted the comments of Captain Qorax here...

I am flying through Emirates Airline so excess baggage will be expensive i guess than the BA per luggage. Im not carrying bulky stuff and electronics with me (only my PS3, laptops/ipad, SLR camera, books (which is a lot), DVDs). Also i am addicted to clothes, shoes and bags so those are the one, i want to ship to Canada as it will not fit my luggage allowance :)...

Try Empost..!! its reliable, other local cargo companies hard to trust.

Try the below link to calculate the total cost.

Captain qorax sir, coolguy & dear all,

I received my 2nd AOR too and just like cool guy,i also sent case specific inquiry on 21st May and received 2nd AOR dated 8th June 2011.
1)The only change is I got it through the simple air mail from ND VO.File no. reamined same.(three page letter)
2)In my 2nd AOR,nothing is mentioned regarding backlogs, caps etc.Rather it was mentioned that further process will take 10 months and if you dont get any updates in 6 months after your full docs submission, you are requested to contact ND,VO.

I am wondering by seeing the different response of two VOS with the same pre June 2010 cases.

Guys..what to say?!!
Regards,
Edmonta

Dear Edmonta,

There is difference between ND office and London Office.

London Office handles many other countries applications whereas ND handles only India.

This might be the reason.

Cool

Hi, from which ever part of the world you fly, just have the below compulsory documents:

1) AIR TICKET + PASSPORT (Canadian Visa stamped)
2) POF
3) LANDING PAPERS ( Which you had received along with the passport from London CHC)
4) GOODS ACCOMPANIED AND FOLLOW LIST
5) POSTAL ADDRESS IN CANADA (This address you will have to give the officer for delivering your PR CARDS)

All the best and have safe landing..!!

Cheers...

where to send documents for dubai applicants?? n do we need to attach bank statement with the application?? or they would ask for it later on??

waitin for some help..

Thanks,

Every application should be sent to Sdyney, Nova Scotia first, it will be reviewed and will be transfer to respective VO. Bank statement should be included in the whole package as you are a post june 26 applicant, or you can visit their website for the complete info.

It wouldn't be refused to landed immigrants who haven't stayed out-of-Canada over 3yrs. Relax!
Qorax

Hi Qorax,

I'm not getting your point about "out-of-Canada over 3yrs"! Once PR is issued, it's valid for 5 years, renewable to as many times as the PR wishes. There is no limitation I could find at CIC. In fact, the CIC explains how to renew it.

Cheers

PR card is valid for 5 years but it can't be renewed if you don't spend at least 2 years in Canada. Therefore you lose your PR status after the expiry of your PR card if you spend more than 3 years out of Canada.

Thanks. I misunderstood the whole point. Yes, the IRPA states the 730 days in Canada, or outside with canadian spouse, or outside with canadian business.

Thanks

Dear Bugsnette ,

Empost indeed is a good option . From UAE to Canada they would charge somewhere around Aed.1500 for 30 Kg box , not including electronics , perfumes or any breakable items. See if it is worth spending that amount.
Books , clothes , utensils are fine to send it through them. They are very reliable.
I have used them for UAE to India last month.

Now even i am looking for some reliable options of Cargo from India to Canada as we are flying on 25th July.
Let us know if anyone has any info.
