Dear Friends

Today by the Grace of God, I have received my passports with the beautiful, long awaited VISA!

I would like to thank each one of you for your support and prayers during this difficult process.

Please find my complete timeline below :

September, 2007 : Application filed
3rd October, 2007 : AOR received
8th March, 2010 : Documents update letter/ File transferred to Ottawa (Documents sent on 9.6.11)
29th June, 2010 : More documents/ some clarifications requested
6th October, 2010 : Medical Request (Medicals done on 26.10.11)
4th March, 2011 : Passport Request (Passports sent on 9.3.11)
30th March, 2011 : Visa Issued (Passports received in hand on 20.4.11)

This whole process has taken me exactly 42 months.

I pray that all of you going through this process may soon receive your visas.

I emailed CHC-london asking them to confirm whether they have received my medical results and add docs or not, and also about the status of my application. this is the reply i got from them on march 30.

"Further to your recent correspondence, please be advised that the below documents have been received and attached to your file. Your medical examination results are due to expire on 03-01-2012.

Your file is currently awaiting the initiation of routine background checks. We will be in contact with further information once these have been completed.

Yours sincerely,

JMR"

can someone eloborate by when i should expect to receive the passport request.

Eventhough u got ur meds on May 2010 the final meds was submitted on Jan 2011 and file in in security checks. now CHc has passed PPR for few guys who send their meds on Oct and Nov 2011. so u can expect ur PPR in a couple of months. but no cause for worries - its in track

in tht case whn u fly, carry a DD in ur name and u can vvv easily open an account in Scotia Bank whn u reach Canada. No issues, u can even withdrew if ur travelling back

Enquired at HDFC- they can't open a Scotiabank account here in Muscat. Maybe opening one from India is the only option remaining.

as per the new processing time CHC london has announced 13 months . so wait and send the query later

I haven't send any query to CHC. My consultant is the same as yours.
I am following their letter. 8 - 12 months.

there are many cases who received the reply from CHc saying u have a representative so plzz contact thm. but wht u can do is after
1- 1 1/2 months send again the enquiry thn thy might reply

In my case i also apply through consultant but when ever i send my enquiry to chc they responed me properly and i dont think so any body face the same problem which you are facing right now

Few guys got this kind of reply from CHC,

Now the processing time issued by CHC london is 13 months, so whn u send enquiry much b4 tht u get sometime this kind of reply or else if u send coun't enquiry about the same subject u wil get this kind of reply. coz all ur enquries or CAIPS are recorded in our file

so no need to worry

send thm again after 1-2 months
