Dear Qorax and seniors

The Caips notes are complete. The lawyer who got it was surprised and wrote"It is highly ususal that the VO does not give reason of interview' and did not guess. It is really strange. Igot 73 marks and no issues are raised anywhere in Caips notes. What is your interpretation?

Then Probably your Interview could be scheduled for either of the following 2 reasons:

1. A random selection of Interview for Program Integrity Reasons.
2. There could be some Red Flag in your B/ground or Security Clearance.

The point-2 is more evident if they have asked both of u to attend, u & your spouse.

I am in the stage of collecting documents and my agent is holding me file No. till I pay the installment which I won't pay till I have all the papers in hand...
Anyhow I am Egyptian and I've applied for the PCC at the Egyptian consulate in Dubai and I was impressed that they gave it to me in less than 5 mins :S but they said you should get it stamped from any police station in Egypt!!!!

My question is has anybody applied for a PCC from Egypt before? whats the right sequence? coz the one I have is already stamped!!! do I really need to get it stamped again from Egypt? if yes, how long would it take as it seems I might have to go do it myself!!! is it a couple of days mission or more?

Welcome to this forum. I'm not aware of the Egyptian system, but in all expatriate cases we have the option of getting the PCCs from either our country's Police Dept. Or to obtain it from the respective Consulate.

Now, the ones we get from our Consulates is the Final. There's nothing further to stamp... And we deposit it to the CHC as it is.

Again, the Egyptian system is unknown to me. U may wait others to respond on that.

With your help for getting PCC from dubai I have finished with all my documentation and sent my documents on 8th june. Normally how much minimum time CHC take to send you medical request(2nd AOR). Sometime they waive your interview and sometimes they ask for an interview beside medical! Any certain reason for both of the conditions?

I applied for Egypt PC last year and get it done through the consulate, it took around two months. You have two options either to take the finger prints through the consulate and send it over to somebody in Egypt who can submit it to the nearest police station. This option might be faster. The second option is to leave it with the consulate and they will handle it, this might take longer time as it took two months in my case.

Hi Nadeem,

A. Usually London send the 2nd AOR by 2-3 months.
B. The Meds Call comes by 5 months approximate.
C. There r 2 kinds of Interviews, B/ground Interview & Security Interview.
D. Either of them may or may not be called for. & if called, can be anytime till the visa is stamped.
E. There's a 50-50 chance of the Interviews. It depends on 3 factors:
-The quality & quantity of your apps+docs.
-The VO's perception of your case.
-A Random Selection for Interviews, in view of Program Integrity.

I had applied in March 2009 when I was working in a different company and I was working as an Accountant, but the previous company refused to give me a letter and I had to withdraw my case. I had sent the application to Sydney and received an approval from them, but was not able to attain a reference letter within 120 days so I had an argument with my employer and I quit the job and also withdrew the case. In the Gulf region its very hard to get an employment letter and plus for some they dont even give a contract

I am planning to re-apply now. I am currently working as a Financial Analyst with duties of an Accounting Analyst in an Asset Management firm. My supervisor is the “Head – Asset Management”. Will this work? As my job title Financial Analyst is in NOC code of 1112 and Accounting Analyst which is my job description is in NOC code 1111. And this time my manager is willing to provide me a letter and my contract states my job title as a Financial Analyst.

1. Will there be any problems as previously I had applied and withdrew the case as I didn't have proof to prove my work as an Accountant...and now also if I apply I will not be able to furnish any reference letters from my previous company.

Kindly give me any advise on my case....really appreciate it.

Hi,
In the previous case you shouldnt have withdrawn your case if your employer was not willing to provide you the reference letter. Reason being, if you see the guidance notes, they have clearly mentioned that if you cannot get a reference letter from your CURRENT employer, provide a written explanation. You should have provided a written explanation stating the reason. I had a similar situation, I actually didn't want to inform my employer about my immigration application so I couldnt ask for such letter. I gave the same reason in the explanation letter and have received my medicals.

Just email your designation and job duties to NOC authority and they will tell you in which NOC code you fall in.

I cant really say whether an explanation can be replaced with the reference letter from previous employer because as I said in the guidance notes its written CURRENT employer. May be other senior members can help you in this regard.

I had joined that company because I was in urgent neet of job and as you know that in Gulf employers misuse the employee a lot...anyways I am happy for you that you got thru by not providing the letter, but I have heard that this dosent work everytime...did u provide your contact or offer letter in lieu of reference letter???

Hi,

U get an AOR from the CHC once your complete docs have been submitted. Since u sent the IELTS only in 2010, u should be getting the AOR now. Once u get that u'll be able to check your e-cas. Your time of 2-3 months started 'only' from 2010.

From now on, if u do not delay your docs [whenever requested] and if u don't run into any 'red flags', u should expect to have a 'conclusive decision' to your file by 10-12 months.

Yes, u'll not be able to send your pps thru courier or postal media from India. U'll have to send it 'on person' or carry it yourself.

You are the only one that seems to have answer to all the questions. I got a passport request from Los Angeles, but I am currently in India. Please help me in knowing the right procedure for sending the passport from Indian to USA. Particularly the authorization letters to the person carrying fthe passports for you, and the return address to where the consulate can send the passports back. I have friends who will be able to carry them back and forth. Or if you know of any thread where this topic has been discussed in detail, please post the link.

Can you please help me in Regard that my wife is a Principal Applicant although we already sent our full documents but due to some reason my wife want to leave her present company. Is it effect our Immigration process?
