Good day everyone

I am May 2010 applicant under FSW program and its been a long time and exhausting process for most of us,I am applying with my wife and 3 kids and as schools started now we were extremely worried becoz it cost a fortune here in KSA for 3 kids ,since we did medical in April 2013 and medical line added in May 10,2013 so i send CSI last month to which they replied on July 23rd my application is under security verification and might take several weeks and several months.Knowing that for the last 10 years my travel history was only to Beirut on yearly vacation so I send another CSI last friday and responded today saying:

Dear Applicant,

This refers to your recent message. Internal verification are still on progress and should take at least sevarl weeks more.

then they send another email quickly after that asking for scanned copies of new passports coz I told them that I split my children each on separate passport.

my Understanding is that its no more months to wait only weeks but what is internal verification ?
I am still keeping my children without school coz they can join schools in Canada even late November and honestly speaking paying 10000$ to school then leave will not be convenient at all .

I will post this on several threads looking for your feedback and trying to give hope to all those who are waiting.

Hi,

This is just FAB :D
We live in Dubai and have recently been asked to submit our passports for the visa stamping.
I would love to read about any experiences, advice and anything relevant which would help me in the further processes involved.

1. Is there a time limit for submitting the passports after we are asked to?

2. How long do they take to return your passports after stamping?

3. What are the exact steps involved in the PR Landing?

any other piece of info is most welcome....:)

hi everyone

i have a query which has been asked on this forum many times.
i wanna come back after landing in Canada. i intend to stay there for a month and then come back. i will permanently move to canada sometime in middle of 2014.
1. does it pose any risk if i come back without gettin the PR card as it take approx 2 months to get it. (i have family members in canada who can recieve it on my behalf)
2. is there anyway to expedite the process of getting the PR card?

ur suggestions will be highly appreciated.

regards

Hi Shahzad

While there is no problem in doing what you are suggesting you must keep in mind the risk involved
Generally the cards should reach your family and you can get it from them. But sometimes there is an issue with a photo and you need to reapply in person for the PR cards with the right photo. In such a case you will need to apply for a temp visa from AUH and then land here and go through the PR application formalities.
I had done exactly what you want to do i.e. landed in 2012 stayed for a month and left and then got my PR cards through a friend.

Hope this helps

AUH = Abu Dhabi .. we assume you are based in Dubai, as you have posted in Dubai applicants forum.

You are correct about the PR card photographs being the same the ones sent for COPR, however in many cases those photographs have been rejected for issuance of PR and new photographs have been requested, that have a date stamp on the back.

While it is perfectly fine to give your friends address at landing for delivery of PR cards, which he can than courier to you in the UAE, however should there be an issue with photographs you will not be able to return back to Canada without a PR card to fix this issue.

A lot of members on this forum, have had their pictures taken in Canada after landing and left them behind with their friends, to submit if there was a photograph issue. You should reach out to them to find out how they got exemption from personal appearance for picture submission
