Thanks - I bought some labels approximately slightly smaller than my palm..
so can I just manually write 2 addresses in arabic, 1 in english and 1 in french - by pen...

I went to get a bank draft...tried Mashreq, ADIB, Wall street exchange, Al ansari exchange, UAE exchange, Emirates NBD...
Mashreq does CAD demand drafts but only if you have an account with them..

Emirates NBD said they could but at another branch (I have an account with them, so I thought I would give it a shot)...
Has anyone here done it through Emirates NBD?

Any other ideas of where I can get the bank draft?
I was planning on sending my final application by tomorrow morning....so am pretty upset about this...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

tx

:D Dear Senior Members ,Qorax, Saki, Baiju, Bestpal,

I have by god's grace finally received my medical request , PCC , RPRF & proof of funds

Kindly advise on

1. What tests can I expect for Medical?
2. Is there a medical thread that I can go through?
3. I have High blood pressure but is controlled via medication. Is this something I need to worry about?
4. The best DMP to schedule an appointment with

Regards,

I did it in HSBC. (I have an HSBC account, dont know about the ones who dont have account. Pls check)
Very simple process, you need to fill in an online application form(there itself), take a printout and give to the counter, they will give the DD within 5 min..the amount was deducted from the account..

Hi Smikri

Just wanted to give you some heads-up regarding medicals. I'm sure members here will advise you about hugh BP; I don't have any experience with that. I went to healthbay polyclinic for my medicals. They checked BP and other vitals first. Once that done, a male doc (I don't remember his name) saw us. He asked me if I have that and this and I answered everything truthfully. He asked me if I've had jaundice. I told him yes, when I were 5 years old. He put that down on the paper and sent me to see Dr. Rita. She saw his remark and sent me to get a blood test done whch cost me 800 AED. I'm 32 years old now. I really don't know what a 27 year old jaundice can do to someone. All I could do was just curse myself for not keeping shut. Coughed up the hard-earned 800 dirhams and said bye to Healthbay Polyclinic.

Not sure if anyone has had an experience like mine. Some may even feel its fair - rule is rule. But I felt that this was just a gimmick by the healthbay to make money. Seriously, who remembers what sickness you have when you were 5 years old or younger? I blurted out mine and paid up for that.

This info is not for me but for my brother who is planning to apply under FSW 2131. He is 24 years old and has over 2 years of relevant work experience. I ran through the wizard for eligibility determination on the CIC website, and listed the finds as <300,000 CAD, also listed that he has family living in Canada however, according to the wizard he doesn't qualify for applying through FSW programme.

Does anyone has any idea why?

Can you sponsor your brother under Family Class ? .....just a guess

Hello Quorax/any seniors,

I have one question regarding the medical form to be filled for a child under the age of 16. Could anyone please help me who/ what kind of medical practitioner can approve that form? Is it the one who is allowed to do the medical or anyone from my country?

Thank you
