I'm very happy to announce that my husband, our two babies and me have got our Canada Visas. It was a long wait and so many things happened in between...there were some drastic changes in our personal lives. But anyway, now we have the visas.
We are planning to travel to Toronto in May. Is there anyone in this group who is planning to travel during the same time? We can talk and exchange notes, I hope.
What are the general advices for our landing trip. We will be going for just a week.
All suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks
Honeyflower

RPRF should NOT be paid online; as this will be summarily rejected and will delay your application process. Funds paid through online will be refunded in due course (generally 5-6 months). Here we are referring to Bank Transfers but I think the same applies for Credit Card payment. The folly here is that the user assumes the payment to be GBP of equivalent Canadian Dollars' fees. But in reality the fees (in the form of Drafts-in Canadian Dollars favouring the 'THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA' and PAYABLE in Canada, are collected and are physically transferred to Canada). So effectively when one tries to pay in any other currency it creates a difference/risk by way of exchange fluctuations/ bank charges etc and are hence rejected.m.ibrahim said:Anyone paid RPRF fees online through CIC website? Please put your comment.

It happened with a fellow member 'Gypsey' last year, when I advised our friend to resend his family's RPRF fees by way of Draft without waiting for the refund, which eventually arived after its long travails of approvals (read bureaucracy).
If you are in Dubai better send it by means of a Demand Draft in CAD$ through Wall Street Exchange (BUT only thru Naif and Karama Branches) or your own local Banker.
