Today my e-case changed to DM.

Friends,Today I went to the ICBC officeof Vancouver with my letter from Dubai.I did my landing in July 2012 so within 90 I should have presented my license of Dubai then they would have give a temp license. But now I will allowed road test but I will have to surrender my Dubai license.it seems this rule is effective jan 2013.So I am writing this so that if anyone else is doing the same they can be prepared. Also now I am thinking of giving my Indian license instead.

Dear Seniors,
Thanks a lot for your detailed info,
1)My question is IO in Canda will know that i have return ticket at the time of landing. Due to serious problem i will return next day from Canada to UAE.
2) what to write in disembarakation form that how many days i will stay.
3)we are 2 and one kid means in total 3. So 20,000USD will be suffiecnt for POF.
4) Goods to follow i have to type in simple paper or there is some form available for it.

Thanks for your reply

Dear Seniors,

I got a request from LVO to provide Proof of Fund within 30days. I did my medicals in Nov 2012 and they didn't ask with medicals. Kindly advice your opinion as I was not maintaining sufficient funds. How many months bank statement do i need to show and when to expect PPR ?

Hi, sometimes they do ask for Updated statement. For safer side, 3-6 months statement will be good to present.

All the best.

Under your circumstances, you ought to borrow and put in your bank in A fixed Deposit Account and get the FD Receipt; notarize a copy of the same and send it ASAP,this will aptly demonstrate that you have the funds.

Many a times the Bank's letter (on bank's letterhead) confirming the amount is also accepted. No need for current/past Statement. But you will need to send the original Letter, mind you! Then maintain the same or more balance till you get your PPR. Should take anywhere between 30-60 days, is my estimate.

Best Wishes,

Bestpal

No, I had no idea that some LVO files were being transferred to Paris.

As reg. that letter, it's a standard one which they issue to [almost]all - once their files come out of the mandatory "wait-queue" - signifying that their cases r up for processing into the next stage and the file needs updating since a considerable time has elapsed. However, as 2010 had a 2-yr's wait-queue - I wonder why it's being requested now. Or did u guys didn't get the same during 2012? If not - it signifies that the wait-queue has now been stretched to 3-yrs or more.

Thanks captain for your quick reply... You are right as we should have got something in 2012. However, instead of asking for updated docs or medical, they sent 6-12 months wait letter to almost all in mid of 2012. Some got the MR & PPR by end of 2012 also.

Now when max date for above letter is going to expire this year (for me it was april 2013), they have sent this documents request with 18 months clause.

Now I am just wondering if this is a progress in our cases in real or just another wait letter ?
