My draft is from ADCB, domicile is something related to address; I asked the ADCB but they did not explain yet why the draft is returned.

Abdbassam,

Ask ADCB to make a swift payment to the specified account of LVO. Also instruct them to include ur name and immigration file no in the SWIFT message line, with "Charges on us" (ADCB) message. Specifically instruct them that you need the full required amount to be sent and any charges - sending or receiving should be on your account.

Got an mail today's rom LVO, asking me to do an online direct deposit on the bank acct that they specified for the RPRF..the email says that my bank draft has been returned for the reason of " domocile required"

How can we do an online direct deposit from Dubai?

It is possible to credit the LVO SPECIFIED A/C . Usually it is from net banking of your local Bank account (TT) (this mode shd be preferred) or through a third party account like an exchange house or a Bank, even where you do not have an account,

One user 'Gypsey' had done the web based account transfer for RPRF but that time the LVO HAD SHUNNED and returned it and our Friend then sent a Draft which was accepted.
Check with ur Bank. Ensure that the full required among is credited to LVO account.

Best Wishes,

Bestpal

I concur this. You must remit the money via swift. Once you have done the payment pls send a copy of the swift message to LVO. So that they can make sure the receipt of fund from you.

Dyaan,

You do not need the airside transit visa for the UK. Please refer below:

If you are a national of a country covered by the DATV system, you may be able to transit the UK airside without a visa. To qualify for this exemption:
you must arrive and depart by air; and
your onward flight must be confirmed, and must depart within 24 hours; and
you have proper documentation for your destination, including a visa if necessary.

Additionally, you must hold:

1) a valid entry visa for Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA, and a valid airline ticket for travel via the UK, as part of a journey to or from one of those countries; or
2) a valid airline ticket for travel via the UK as part of a journey from Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA, if you are transiting the UK no more than 6 months after the date when you last entered Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA with a valid entry visa for that country; or
3) a valid USA I-551 permanent resident card issued on or after 21 April 1998; or
4) an expired I-551 permanent resident card issued on or after 21 April 1998, accompanied by an I-797 extension letter issued by the Bureau of Citizenship; or
5) a valid Canadian permanent resident card issued on or after 28 June 2002; or
6) a valid Australian or New Zealand residence visa; or
7) a valid uniform format category D visa for entry to a state in the European Economic Area (EEA); or
8) a valid uniform format residence permit issued by an EEA state under Council Regulation (EC) number 1030/2002; or
9) a valid UK residence card; or
10) a valid EEA family permit issued by the UK government; or
11) a diplomatic or service passport issued by the People's Republic of China; or
12) a diplomatic or official passport issued by India; or
13) a diplomatic or official passport issued by Vietnam.

For further info, refer the UK Boarder Agency Link

ramzy2277, Sainamo, bestpal & anpudan thanks a lot for your replies. I did the transfer trough ADCB I hope that will work this time.

I did a bank draft but that was returned. I do not know why that happened? Also ADCB did not explain to me why it is returned; the bank said that they did not understand the reason!!!
LVO send me a letter and attached the returned draft to me.
They informed me that they will accept a direct deposit this time to solve the issue quickly.
Anyhow if you did send the draft the only thing you can do is to wait, you can ask your bank if the draft is incashed. A lot of people in this form did the same and i did not see a similar issue. I hope your case will go fine.

Hi dyaan

Just a piece of advice - You need to make sure you have enough time for a connection 3-4 hours cause if you are changing terminals generally the security check is miserable and the staff are exceptionally rude ( I had a bad experience when my daughter had carried some water to drink from the plane and was literally screamed at by the officer till I threatened to file an official complaint). Also they generally have a special check before you board for all passengers coming in from the Middle East ( while its random you soon realise most of the people n the random line were with you in the plane earlier)

I have since stopped taking flights via UK but that's just a personal choice

I would like to wish you all the best and would be glad to help with any questions on landing ( we did ours in June 2012)

Take care
