Friends !

Once again I need seniors advice.

I came to know by an email sent by LVO 5 days back that my background checks has completed on my application and Medical received.

So its been about 12 days since VO has received my Medicals, RPRF and PCs.

Please share why is this delay to issue the PPR from LVO ? or they are still waiting for security check to be done or so ???

from this stage normally it takes 50-90 days to get PPR. now VO has to get the result of ur meds sent, plus has to do security checks.

There is a note in my recent CAIPS which says : File refer to AFU to confirm employment with my company.

I have done medical 2 months ago , Are they going to do this sort of investigations after Md?
Plus I quit my job 6 month ago and moved to oman , I sent them a letter and informed them at the same time.
I called to my ex-employer yesterday , seems nobody has contacted to company yet . He wants to know what type of questions they will ask? is it by phone or they will send somebody?

your advice is so appreciated.

I know about an employment confirmation case for a colleague here in dubai. LVO sent scanned copy of the employment letter sent by my colleague back to the HR person who had initially signed it and asked him if that was a genuine letter signed by him. LVO sent this to HR guy by email and confirmation was also sent by email.

After meds normally there is very less chance tht Vo will do background check.
employment checks are done very rarely if ur work experience is in Gulf. (only one in 1000 cases are checked)

We have successfully landed in Calgary yesterday. I only have one confusion, i.e. they didn't ask us to fill the PR cards application forms nor I saw them filling those themselves. Is it a normal procedure?

It's done automatically/online by the BSO while taking our local address. No action is required from our side.

You should travel at least 6 months before the expiration date.

It depends on the regulations of the country of departure. Canada doesn't have any issues with the validity of ur pps while 'landing'... similarly when we travel from Dubai, London, Norway, Switzerland and many other nations -- they do not worry about our pps expiry as well.
