Salam Princeofindia,

We live in Abu Dhabi, and we applied for the FBI certificate for our application, and we also applied for police certificates from each state we lived in. I've posted this on the board previously, but I'm reproducing it below (edited). Hope you'll find it helpful.

Check the CIC website for how to apply (they also include a link to the FBI web site): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

We checked the web site of each entity (FBI, and each state police department) for their requirements. We don't know if London VO requires state clearances, but were advised to get them by our immigration consultant at the time. We submitted our requests in April 2011, and by end of June we had received them all (FBI, and two states).

Since we live in Abu Dhabi, we did the fingerprinting for FBI and required states at the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi (close to Shaykh Zayed mosque). We used the fingerprint forms provided by FBI (downloaded and printed from their site). The FBI also has detailed information on how to carry out the fingerprinting on their web site. Make sure to read that to make sure what they/you're doing conforms. Unclear prints might result in a rejection and a request to redo them. Personally, we included at least four sets of fingerprints for the FBI (for each family member) when we sent them. That is because we personally know of people whose fingerprint cards were rejected for 'unclear' prints, and because the processing time is not short, we figured we'd be better off safe than sorry. It worked out alhamdulillah.

In our case, our immigration consultant submitted our application without the police certificates (which we had applied for but were still waiting for). As soon as we received a file number from CIC, we submitted the police certificates to complete our application. Not sure if that is recommended, but that's what happened with us.

If you have any questions on the details of how we applied for the certificates, please feel free to ask. I'd be happy to help.

Best of luck in your application.

Thank you very much. I got the FBI fingerprints done in Ministry of Interior at Abu Dhabi today. It was a breeze. I just had one more question to you and i hope you can guide me on this also.

I have been selected as a provinical nominee by oopportunities ontario fsw pilot program under federal skilled worker. They have told that for provincial nominee to send all applications to Nova scotia. However in the application form i have to select a visa office. Should i select Abu Dhabi or london since when i see the website of canadian abu dhabi office it says all federal economic programs are processed at London. I am confused whether visa office for provincial nominee SHOULD BE ABU DHABI OR LONDON FOR APPLICANTS BASED IN ABU DHABI. Can you please guide me on this?

regards
prince

Regards,

No need to worry. I did Medicals two times and it never showed Medicals received. Only after I got my passport stamped they updated the status online. So this is nothing to worry about. Relax and it will come.

Dear Normal man,

Did you follow the agent? I have almost similar timeline and am waiting for PPR.

Hi all friends !

This is my first ever forum for Canadian immigration discussion.

Well i have applied in June 2010 with AEO to CHC London, i got refusal letter in April 2012 as officer overlooked my AEO and upon request file was reopened and started review again in June 2012.

Last week caips notes shows PSDEC 1 and SELDEC1 and points calculation is 72.

VO informed me after sending updated new forms like Travel history that my B/C is under process and they dont know how long would it take.

So guys let me know from your experience that in my case where I started waiting since 2010 june and due to decision error I have waited already 2 years and still now waiting for more to come in a positive way like MR.

Please need some light on my case...
Thanks in advance ...

I'm glad the fingerprinting was easy. I pray you get the clearance in a timely manner.

Regarding your question, I'm not really quite sure what the answer is for provincial nominees, maybe one of the seniors (Perhaps Qorax) can help.

Our application is a regular Federal Skilled Worker application. We live in Abu Dhabi, and so were advised by our consultant at the time to name London as our visa office (this is confirmed as per CIC web site also: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/london.asp_). So for Federal Skilled Worker applicants living in the UAE London is the processing VO after initial application is sent to Nova Scotia.

If provincial nomination to Ontario falls under Federal Economic Immigration, then according to the link above the London visa office should be responsible.

Can someone confirm this please?

VERY CONFUSING QUESTION

1. Provide details of your personal history since the age of 18 or the past 10 years whichever comes first. So if i am 35 now should i give details from the age of 25(i.e past 10 years) or age of 18?
Please advise.

i came to know from other LVO forum that VO was asked for further details since the age of 18, whoever submitted last 10 years information.
you can provide information since the age of 18, sure that will not make any harm for you, but you can avoid some unnecessary delay.

Any time is a "good time" for 'landing'... relax, u'll be fine.
When u come here - get in touch with me - and not just 'any friend' - u'd have a bunch of them vide our 'Toronto-FriendsCircle' google-group.
