Drafts from Al fardhan Exchange is accepted. other exchange houses are not issuing DD to Canada.

Thanks biju. Actually al fardan alreAdy did issue me dd for my rprf last week. If ever they are not being accepted then they should've have not issued dd to me in the first place. So i guess and i hope al fardan is still accepted.

Haven't they stopped accepting drafts from exchange houses ? This is what I heard last . i made my draft from my bank, better to be safe than sorry !

CIC 'accepts' drafts issued from anywhere... it's another matter that most Forex Houses in Dubai do not have a bonafide partnership with a Canadian Financial Institution, thus they r 'unable' to 'issue' drafts. While Al Fardan is in partnership with BMO -- so it 'works'.

I know ADCB bank drafts are not being accepted that I am sure.

I made my RFPF draft from ADCB in Feb 2012 and I didn't have any issues.As Captain said the "issuing" will not be done by any institution bank or exchange house.CIC will accept draft from any where.

BUT the question now is that my medicals expiry date is 14/09/2012 and the time is very short to land .. my consultant is advising me to remedical again and wait for visa stamping request again , she said it will take 1 to 2 months only .... pls advice me ... actually i am very scared coz i am egyptian and a lot of problems is hapening nowadays in egypt and all the middle east ... i am afraid that it takes one to two years .... pls advice me ... better to land or to remedical ?
this is the letter i received today
Your medical results are due to expire on 14-09-2012 so your passports must be submitted as soon as
possible. You will be required to land in Canada by midnight on this date. Please advise via email once
your passports have been submitted.

I have used al fardan, have not checked Mashreq bank. But it was swift and resonable through al fardan.

U can have a Draft made from Mashreqbank. But their Dd making charges would be higher and exchange rate for AED>CAD$ will be costlier than the only Exchange house which issues CAD$ Bank Drafts i.e. AL
FARDAN EXCHANGE which has many branches all over in UAE.
Most of us got our RPRF N landing drafts made there.

Go ahead, compare cost at Mashreq Bank n Al Fardan n choose ur options. Then post ur feedback.

IMHO, this is ur Golden Opportunity... go ahead & submit ur pps now - then plan to 'land' asap. One never knows what's in store next [vis-a-vis renewed meds]. Ur IO is likely to stamp & send back ur pps in couple of weeks max.

Hi All,I did my landing last month and had to come back to Dubai to go back in a years time.One surprising thing I found was there was no Immigration/Passport Control check when I did the exit from Canada.My question is how do they(meaning the CIC/Canadian Govt ) know when I did my exit from Canada?

I feel you can and should dispatch your Passports directly to be sure and for expediency.

COURIER: Try this tested and trusted courier-Indian courier service 04-2737176 (reliable and inexpensive (55 AED) & they use DHL anyways for UK) or use DHL direct for AED 180. the choice is yours!

PHOTOS : Secondly, for photos, U can go to this photographer if you don't know where to go : Just near Union Metro STN (Deira) and opp Al Ghurair Centre/Mashreq Bank and next to Iranian Sweets- there is a studio (don't remember the name) you go and specify that you want the Photos for Canadian Immigration. (they know the specifications/Matt Paper/ But pls double check/verify)

It's nothing to do with good or bad... it's just a processing direction. A staff of ur VO shall be reviewing ur file on xyz date [like a BFD].
