Do we need to notify CHC about renewal of VISA......?. I have already updated them for new passport...

Hi all

Does anyone know where can I get Legal 8.5" x 14" paper to print the B4 form in Dubai ?
Also if someone has done this recently is it necessary to print on this size or can I print it on regular A4 paper in 2 parts ?

Please reply urgently as we are travelling on Thu and this is the last piece of the puzzle

You can very well go and print in the std A4 size paper which is slightly different (8.3" x 11.7") and it is perfect for the current purpose, and CHC suggests this for uniformity in their filing later on, I guess.

Whereas the 'legal' size as it is called is used for all legal/judicial purpose (just for convenience sake for filing instead of everyone providing their own sized paper).

Don't worry and proceed as above. Do keep in touch and write abt your landing and post landing experiences.

Na re bappa! No need to inform about renewal of Visa or what breakfast we had yesterday and today because they will be all forgotten as we do.
But yes, change of job, marital status, change of address/spouse -chokas- you must INFORM CHC!

Hi,

I've written to u about it many times.

1. All bank a/cs [chequing] will 'charge' u some monthly maint. fees. Nothing is free here [ditto in Dubai].

2. Savings a/cs r usually free, but u need a chequing a/c for issuing chqs [eg. for tenancy contracts]. Ppl who have savings a/c have one chequing a/c also.

3. Most banks have some sort of chequing a/c which can be free if u maintain certain amount of min. balance [usually $5000] always. If ur min. bal. goes down - u'll be charged a 'penalty' [usually heavy, around $30-50] everytime.

4. A good idea is to open the Scotiabank Startright program. This a/c comes to 'newcomers' FREE for 1-yr [after a yr u will be charged for everything/all transactions]. I've a separate thread on Scotiabank, pls read that.

Most banks will offer u the basic Cr. Card, which have no annual maint. fees. However, they carry higher interest rates for the bal carried forward. But as long as u keep it cleared [by paying ur consumption on a day-to-day basis] u'd remain FREE of all costs.

We all do so... I clear-off my Cr. Card balances every week... thus, my Cr. Card remains 'topped-up' always -- and I don't incur any unnecessary charges.

Does that mean I can get the PPR anytime now.. how long do i have to wait...

is this the normal practice that status change into DECISION MADE before sending PPR....

It's not normal... "DM" occurs in the e-Cas usually after the pps r stamped. However, I've also noticed [over the forums] that some ppl had likewise as urs and received their PPR shortly. Thus, I hope/believe ur's could be too.

I hope ... am worried as well.. but I have also noticed that one forum member got the ppr and after their his status turn into DM... i hope there shouldnt be any prob now...

my medical results were fine, my DMP have given the gteen signal that everything is fine.. so am just curious cuz till now i have not recd any email from them... am just worried

Does anyone know how long it takes for work permit visa from Dubai. I have got job offer and now waiting for LMO as company in Canada have applied it. As per web site it says 6 months for work permit visa but I think it should be less than that. Any comments plz
