Seniors, a doubt on the fund...

Should we maintain the required fund in the bank indefenitely (i am a pre-June applicant) or show the fund once they ask for? As far as i remember, they were asking for 6 months statement while submitting the application and since i had a loan, the consultant advised me to submit a statement stating the status of my account for that day..

Maintaining this amount for more than an year now and since we dont have any clue on when the process will start, can i withdraw it and send it to India (very good rate :) )?

Will it make a problem if i deposit the amount when they ask and show a day's statement or will they insist for 6 months? Is this going to affect the process in anyway?

Or, can i show the fund by means of a statement from the bank in India?

Best Regards,
Reji.

Hi Reji, there is no problem in transferring the fund from one bank a/c to another if the a/c is on your name.
So go ahead and transfer the amount. So if CHC any time ask you for an updated statement, you can send them both the statements ( Dubai and India)

Cheers..

hi Reji.... keep in mind the conversion from Rs to CAD. it is a big loss.

SATDXB advised u correctly... we can declare our POFs vide any/many a/cs all over the globe. There's no requirement of maintaining it@one location.

Besides, some 'regular' transactions on the a/cs [anywhere] r perfectly alright... keeping a bal of around 70%. As u get the call for submitting fresh POF - that can be topped-up.

Hi rejis
One thing to add to the seniors
When you send money to India I am sure you will be sending as TT (Not Bank to Bank transfer).
So it will show a big amount as credit in your account (without any name as transferred from). So to be on the safer side you can obtain balance Confirmation certificate from the Bank and submit to the VO. So there will not be a question regarding the unusual transaction in the account. (I did this way)
