Dear Friends,

I am going through a very serious problem now a days, yesterday my maid washed my Passport while i was on a tour to pakistan, i have showed it to FIA director Passport, he said this is no more valid, and the worst part is i have to fly back to dubai on 30th which seems like impossible so far, please please please friends help me out as my dubai visa page is also damaged..any comment help will be highly appriciated...

the worst part is passport office is saying we are not issuing any passport now a days as there is no minister to do the signatures...

i am totally freaked, speacially those who live in Dubai (UAE) i need assistance from you guys,

It is really a stressful situation, The option I could think of is to Hire some agent, I have heard that now a days the rate is 20,000 if you want PP in 3 days, try to get it. and then co-ordinate with your company / PRO to get you a duplicate papers visa to land and later you can get you visa stamped on passport, you can chat with the immigration customer service guy at this link and ask the solution for UAE visa.

is there anyone who has applied through Quebec from Dubai?
I see that the average processing time is 37 months!! what about priority processing applicants....any idea how much time?

Also, where do I send my complete application (for QSW)?

Am waiting to do my TCFQuebec, and then will only be able to apply after 2 months once the result is out...

I believe I do not need police clearance etc at this stage...that will come in upon receipt of QSW, correct?

Please comment ,why our PPR so late , we finished our medical last oct 2012.

LVO started processing 13 June 2012.
Medical done 26 Oct 2012.
Medical received line Nov 2012.
Updated documents ,PCC , Landing Fee, New born application reached in LVO 03/12/2012.
New Born medical done 27/12/2012.
Landing fee debited 18/12/2012.

So how long we want to wait more ............please comment ...

I am trying to plan for our landing insha ALLAH,by mid of May, and i have few quesions hope u can guide through,

My plan is to stay in canada till we recieve our pr cards then come back to uae,i might go back alone in 6 months time once i finalize things in uae and also see how my engineering licensure will end up.i will land first in toronto and stay there for a week with relativez then move to calgary,the address i will give for the pr card is at calgary .

1- do i really need to open a bank account in canada since i will stay for short time,or just carry the bank draft along with some cash.

2- is there a safey deposite box where i can put the bank draft in without opening a bank account in canada.
3- we r a family of three persons,i heard its illegal to rent one bedroom for three ppl although my kid is only 8 months old.
4- i read that i have to stay for six month in alberta after applying for health card is that true.
5- can i rent a car with international d/l from uae.
6- would appreciate if u advise on anything to prepare or do before and after landing ince i have one and half month till our departure,its the first time in my life to go on a long trip.i beenbreading ur posts on landing for newcomers.

Hi Ghisa, now if you will send them CSE they will reply Background Check in progress, so all is ok with your application, it is up to them, they are doing their work, but as per timeline, your turn is very near. be happy and dont worry. enjoy life, Get Ready to bea canadian. NEKEOL

hello,

I got a new residency visa for Dubai recently (work visa)
I was on Sharjah visa (father's sponsorship) before that..
Since the requirement is to show that I have lived in the country for over a year, should I submit photocopies of both residency visas? Both have english and arabic, so I assume no need to have them notarized or translated...so should I just put in both pages, and label "current valid residency visa", and "previous residency visa"?

For Quebec, they have asked to prove your work experience is legal through social security contribution proof, or exemption of the same, or income tax proof (I've also posted this in Quebec forum), but since in UAE we do not have any of these, how did people here prove this? Did you get a letter from your company that we do not have social security/income tax in UAE? Or how?

by the grace of almighty, we have received our COPR and PPS with visa stemped. i would like thank all forum members from core of my heart that it was not possible without the help of you guys, specially Qorax and leon. sir Qorax, i have one question which is disturbing me.
there is (Faded enlarged text) written diagonally at the background of our CORP that "THIS IS NOT VALID FOR TRAVEL". while rest of our file detail is written at the foreground according to passport detail and file numbers.

could you please tell me is this normal or should i ask this question from LVO. i would be so so thankful.

I took a direct PIA flight from Karachi on 24th March and reached Pearson airport in time
about 2 PM. It took almost 20 minutes to complete processing on passport control and interview
with immigration officer. The lady asked couple of questions about my job field and POF, in fact
she examined bank draft and had a look at cash but did not count, then said " welcome to Canada"
and guided towards a counter where I was greeted and handed over a bag containing brouchers etc.
On baggage counter it took most of the time, the suitcases arrived in one hour, rest was piece of
cake.

A long wait from 2007 materlized on that afternoon.

Coulsd you please advise, if you have made the Draft from Pakistan or Dubai, and from which bank, specially if from Pakistan what is the procedure. I am confused as to make the DD from Dubai or Pakistan.

Thanks for making this thread in which we all Dubai based people who are trying to get canadian PR can share their views. I allready got Canadian PR and going to land there at Calgary as on 24.04.13 with my wife and a 2.5 yr old boy. It will be really appriciated if you can give answer to my below mention quieries.

1. As my agent has instructed me that we need to carry atleast CAD 18000 along with for 3 persons while landing. Does the immigration officers will check the exact amount with us or not.

2. Driving Licence- I am holding Sharjah Driving Licence for last 4 yrs and i have taken a letter regarding that from the Sharjah Traffic department. But the leter is in Arabic so i have done legal translation for the same. My question is wether we need to get it attested from the Ministry of Foriegn Affair or not as it has to attest from UAE Embassy Canada i guess.

3. Does International Licence will help me to drive vehicle while my Canadian DL process.

4. My agent has told me that we need to take social insurance for first 3 months wether it is necassary or optional.

5. I have 14 yr experience of Accounts & Sales- Which line is in more demand (Accounts or Sales)

Kindly advise if you can asap as i am leaving UAE as on 28.03.13.

Moreover I have 3.5 years experience in nursing... How many points I will get for that???
