hi. I applied in oct 2007. Got file number in Jan 2008. Could someone advice me how long its gonna take more till I have to wait for requirement letter, medical and total how much time it will take to complete the process. I really appreciate if someone will answer this.

Hello Captain,

It is now almost 2 months after we sent the additional medicals. I am planning to send an E-mail to CHC London. We have never communicated by e-mail till date; could you share with me which e-mail ID to send it to? or is there any other way we should try communicating, like say by phone?

if its exactly 60 days from the date u send addlt medicals, just wait only a few days PPR is on its way ,,,,,,,,,,i mean if its more than 80 days u can contact by mail as captain said ......Good luck

Hi. Yes buddy, I applied under old scheme. I just wanted to ask if anyone can advice me what will be the time line for receiving requirement letter, medical and interview. How long it will take in total (how many months/ years)?

I would appreciate the reply.

Hi Biju,

It will be exact 60 days on the 10th of August. So you suggest that I wait a little more? say like 75 days? because we sent our medicals on the 1st of April, then the additional medicals on 8th June which they recived on 10th June. So will wait a couple of weeks and see how it goes.

Finally, leaving to toronto on 27th morning by British Airways, bought ticket online, costs me 6740aed (Me, Wife, Infant), we are allowed one Bag 23 Kg plus one hand carry.
Some one told me that BA allows 2 bags instead of one for passenger's traveling to US/Canada, can some one confirms me that please.

What is the picture size for putting or PR application form at landing, and how many pictures do I need, secondly do we know what will be our SIN number when we apply, or we can only know once we receive the card, lastly how long does it take to reach SIN card after applying.

1. my application started process on 26th march,2006
2. Medicals submitted on 9th September,2009
3. Passports request dated in London CHC on 3rd June,2010
4. Received in UAE on 6th July,2010.
5. Passports posted to london CHC from UAE on 11th July,2010
6. Reached to London CHC on 13th JUly, 2010 from UAE through Emirates Ecpress post
7. E-Cas changed from "IN PROGRESS" To "DECISION MADE" on 25th July,2010
8. Passports received with visa stamping on 4th August,2010.
9. Landing in Toranto on 25th August,2010.
i am very happy .. i am successful .. see you all in Canada to welcome you there...

Can you let us know the website from where u did ur bookings.Seems to be a good deal.
From Dubai u r allowed only one baggage.From India you get to carry two.
I believe it is a normal passport size photo which was used for our application purposes.I intend to carry at least a dozen for each member.
SIN no.is known at the time of applying.From what i hear from the senior members is,this no.,is used for our banking purposes etc.and no need for the SIN card.

far as i know the guys applied in the old scheme ie before Nov 2008 started getting letters for full documents, updated application,IELTS, police certifi etc etc. My frnd, after you send all the documents it takes 4-6 months MAX to receive either addlt documents needed or direct medical., After u submit medicals another 2-4 months for PPR. but in VO India. all guys are getting meical and PPR together..... so Good luck ....ur papers are on its way .......

about the SIN number:-you will get the SIN number immideatly whn u apply, but you card will come via mail in 20-25 days from the day u apply. rgd photos u can carry 2-3 passport size pictures for your PRC....Good luck .....share ur experiances even after u land to help others ,,,,,God bless ....

yes its better to wait a couple of weeks, coz another frnd of mine got the PPR in 82 days from the date VO london receive the addl.medicals. Good luck buddy........

HOW LONG AFTER MEDICAL???

I have done my medicals in uae with my family on the 15th of July 2010 and medicals reached on the 19th of july 2010 and send the landing fee on the 26th of July 2010. I know i am asking too early, but due to curiosity I just want to know usually how long does it take to get a reply (Passport) from the comission after the medicals. If they need extra pcc within how many days they usually ask it. I have worked in Saudi 4 years back, till now they dint ask for Saudi PCC. Is there a chance that they will ask for one?
