Hello people from Dubai. I have a question regarding translating docs from Arabic to English.
What is the steps and procedure?

For example, copy of ID and residency, what I do is:
1. Translate from "certified translator"?
2. Notarize translation from Ministry of Justice?
3. Notarize from Ministry of Foreign Affairs?
4. Notarize from Canadian Embassy?

Are these the steps? I really don't know exactly, hope someone can shed some light..

I will be visiting an office at 195 THE WEST MALL in Toronto and plan to move there. Im from Ottawa and I am not familiar with the place. Can you please advise where is the best place to stay (Missisauga, Etobicoke, Oakville???), I am planning to rent a small apartment or even sharing. I am a filipino I appreciate if someone can recomment a good accomodation or apartment near that area where it is accessible by bus as I dont have a car yet?

Anything that isn't in English or French, and u want to submit it, u should have it 'legally' translated. Just that... no other stamping [from any other agency] is required.

If u've a car then any place is OK [Oakville being the farthest]. If u don't, or u don't desire the morning rush hiccups, then stay in Etobicoke, or along the TTC line.

Hey Qorax, thanks for the reply.

This is my problem, what is "legally" and what's not. Here we have "certified translators". They translate doc to English, attach a copy of original document and stamp (translator's stamp) both english translation and copy.

Do we then have to authenticate it from any government officials/authority of the country?

There r many 'legal translators' in UAE... pls see the local classifieds. Their translated [and stamped] copies r sufficient.

Do these translators have a website or something? I'm asking because I live in Kuwait, and I thought the same situate in UAE applies here.

Is it mandatory to file for GST or it is obtional? Is it better to file for it or not, since I want your advice on this and not others. Thanks
