The old saying goes, “No man is an island.” This means that without a doubt, at a certain junction in your life, you are going to need the help of another person. You may not even have to go out actively looking for it, it may just come to you in the form of a kind gesture, words of encouragement, a hug, or a pat on the shoulder, but it will happen. What you should remember is that when it does, it is only right to extend your thanks.
In truth, in life, no matter how solitary a person you may seem to be, there are many things that we can be thankful for. Seemingly mundane actions have the potential to make big changes in our future. Thus, we should be keen in recognizing all the things, no matter how small, that we should be grateful for.
