Yes I got the PP on the First Thursday after submission and luckily the My Visa was just stamped on the Wednesday and my bro collected it on thursday

Payday, at least in my household, dovetails nicely with "chequing account overdraft evening" and "next-day desperate scratch ticket purchase." As quickly as I receive compensation for my efforts (direct deposit rules), it's gone: marched off grimly to pay down my credit cards, student loans, utilities, sizeable grocery bills (a girl's gotta eat her feelings after all) and rent. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but the good thing is creditors are always ready to remind me.

The cardio-heavy payday shuffle is the norm for millions of Canadians who struggle to stay on top of their bills and expenses, but for young families the physical and emotional strain may be even greater. And according to a recent report

nowhere in the nation is that more true than in the province of British Columbia.

An article in the Vancouver Sun cites a recent report by a researcher at the University of British Columbia that found that couples with young children in B.C. have seen their standard of living significantly decrease in comparison to young families who reside in the rest of the country.

In fact, B.C. is the only province in Canada that has seen such a decline in the household income of this age group in the past three decades.

Paul Kershaw of UBC's Human Early Learning Partnerships found that household incomes for couples between the ages of 25 to 34 have dropped by six percent since the late 1970s.

And this state of affairs isn't because people are working less. As the article notes, women have increased their financial contribution to the household by more than 40 percent since the late 70s.

If they're working harder than before, what's keeping young couples on the financial ropes in B.C.? An over-the-top housing market may not be helping matters. Vancouver Sun writer Tara Carman points out that B.C. real estate prices have risen 149 percent since 1976.

Back then, she writes, "housing costs accounted for less than three times the average household income for young couples. Today, it is seven times as much."

Hi Guys,
So this the Day for which I waited for soooo long. well at last I hold my passport with the Canadian Immigrant visa stamped on it.!!!!!! Finding it so hard to believe its REAL!!!!! Thank God....
Here end an important phase of the journey to the dream and start another.
I just collected my passport today from the DHL Counter at Airport Terminal II.. (thank you "Vink" for taking the pain for me much appreciated brother.)

My visa was stamped on 19th Oct 2011
E-case still shows in Process (Your application was reviewed and we started processing on June 2, 2010)

Guys Guys Guys I request all of you please check you COPR 2000 times before you making your landing check every little piece of information so that no one has to go thru what I did 4 sleepless nights, stress, worry and disappointment.

One more thing yes it is not important to have a lawyer to file for Canadian Immigration, but times like these lawyers play a big role I mean I can't thank my attorney's office for the prompt action his office took to help me here.

I have applied from Dubai thru London in Jan 2004 and still waiting for the outcome (PPR).


Have you perhaps any more news on this front (PPR )from London ?

i want to ask a question ? regarding passport submission , to london i am from pakistan and
i hed applay from canada high commission london , when i was there,,,, . now my visa has been
finesh for uk and i have come back in pakistan,i have recive ppr from chc london,
now after get advis e from you guys , i am coming to dubai next week, ................

There is a one confeusion , that my current mailing address is in london , which is my uncle,s address
in london which i gave chc london when i was coming from london to pakistan, when after some days
i would sent my passport fgrom dubai to chc london , would i able to collect my passport from aramex
in dubai ,,, or chc london would sent my passport to my uncle,s mailing address which is in london.

i have got two choices ( 1 ) ask the canada high commission london by e mail before sent my passport ???

( 2 ) or sent letter regarding my current mailing address ,along the passport to chc london , and they would
understand.

there is a easy way to clear ur probs

come to dubai , send ur passport to ur uncle in London with an authorization letter to collect the PP after visa stamp.
ur uncle can submit in person every Thursday between 1-2pm directly to CHC.
even though CHC will inform ur uncle to come after 2 weeks, he can go the very next Thursday to collect the PP and for sure he will get.
so u will be getting ur PP back in dubai in 10-11 days maxx
