hi coolguy

if it is in hindi u need to do in India only - here normal legal translation guys are doing from arabic to english ,
But u can ask for a certificate against this from indian embassy.

Biju

Thanks buddy.

I will do that only instead of translation.

Do I need to contact Indian embassy directly or IPAVSC ( Indian Passport And Visa Service Centre).

hi buddy
u need to go direct to Indian embassy/consulate.
if u translate the certi from india to english by legal translator its always good, coz thy will ask u again for sure to submit the birth certi. ( CHC asked me plus some others too)

Thanks Biju.

Initially i was planning that only to get it translated in India rather than to done at Indian Embassy.

I have also heard that they are asking Birth Certificate even though you provide other supporting documents.

I will arrange to get it translated in India. Secondly Affidavit is also need to be prepared for that as per the guidelines. So here is the process:-

1) Translation in English or French
2) Affidavit from the person who made the translation
3) Certified copy of the document

Please confirm the above. What do they mean "certifiied copy of the above document" mean which one ....is it affidavit or translation..?

The "VFS-Global" office; at 1st floor of CONGENDIA building could do the job. The last time I got something like that done - they charged me AED 30/-. We need to attach that to the xerox of the Birth Cert, that's good enough - no further affidavit would be needed.

Hi All

Just to inform you all that my ECAS status has changed to "IN PROCESS" - I am pleasantly SHOCKED.....!!!!!!! After waiting from Eligibility Review Complete since July 2010 - it has finally changed. Thanks to Qorax, Biju, Roshan and all the good people I had met at the gathering in Al Ghurair earlier - without your good advice I would have been left sitting on the shelf!!

Thanks

Does that mean something, as my dates are pretty much same as yours... and we both are from the same country ... so not sure, why would that be the case, any idea...
