NDVO is better to indian nationalities..i heard and also they are faster than LVO it seems

since both NDVO and LVO are applicable.....I am very much confused.
I want to decide which VO is better then other....

I believe for other nationality also same situation, for example Pakistan or Bangladesh, they also can choose between national & LVO. so, what is their preference in this regards.

Indian people living in Middle East should also advice, and I am sure there are Many!!!

based on past experience if some one can guide thats really helpful.

- NDVO processing times are comparatively quicker than LVO.
- Passports can be sent via Mail or Courier to LVO but not NDVO because such is illegal in India (to and from)
- NDVO will require that you be physically present for PP submission during stamping.
- NDVO may also accept the PP via a relative with proper authorization letter or you can request NDVO to transfer your stamping to your local consulate which is a time consuming process (2-3 weeks).

Its very simple: You have to choose between the lesser of the 2 devils.

I need urgent help, do we need to fill up fom IMM 5409 statutory declaration of common-law union, if we are married and have marriage certificate?

and if so, how to fill up the form? in qn 5 -- Commissioner of Oaths, signature of commissioner of Oath? who is commissioner of oath?

If you are married legally and have a marriage certificate as proof then there is no need to fill up form for statutory declaration of common-law union .
U need to attach copy of your marriage certificate as proof along with the application . Notary attested copy will be better if possible.

I am of Indian nationality and working in Middle East.

as per CIC we can choose the Visa office of
a) as per nationality ----which gives an option of New Delhi Visa Office
b) as per current residence country-----which for middle East, gives an option of London Visa Office.

Please help me what to choose as a Visa Office.

if someone experienced and aware friends can share the merits / de-merits of both then it will be really helpful.

As an expat i spend most of the time Middle East and stay outside India.

It seems like most of the Middle East residents are selecting LVO since it is specified in the website to choose London office due to your country of residence .

As my job needs me to travel acroaa GCC....

If PP stamping takes 2-3 montha then
It will be difficult to explain for me to explain to my current employer

So LVO or NDVO, whichever givea back my passport is more suitable to me.
So what is the time required by LVo and NDVO to return our passport....

You can send your PP via mail or courier to LVO. Its legal as far as LVO is concerned.

They initially said 30 days but I got them back in a little over two weeks. I had to write to them as I gad an emergency and had to travel to India.

If I recall correctly, NDVO was not an option for us in 2010 when we applied. I've always stressed on patience since this is out of your control. I find a lot of people on this forum needlessly getting hyper about delays as if they have put their lives on hold because they have applied for immigration.

We applied and then forgot about it and continued with our jobs and day to day life, without checking application status many times during each day.

Dear All, I need some help from the experts on this forum. I have applied under the FSW category for immigration to Canada. Our medicals are complete and my newborn daughter has been diagnosed with ASD. It is a small hole in the heart.

She was a preterm baby and is very small considering her height, weight. She has no other medical issues and is on no treatment or medicines. But the panel physician requested for a report from her physician. The panel physician conducting the medical did not hear any problems with her heart, it was her paedetrician who diagnosed her with this condition.

I would like to know if anyone has had the experience of immigrating to Canada with a child having a hole in their heart?
Can my case be rejected due to my daughter's condition?

Apparently, for NDVO, you have to be in India when you submit the passport so if you are prepared to work out of India for a few weeks, you could choose that !

There are no right or wrong answers on this. My experience with LVO has been good - they wrote back immediately after I raised a query but for some, they have been slow. Take your pick and good luck with that.
