Hello all,

I have obtained my work permit and plan to travel to Canada in March to start my new job. However, I've also received an ITA that I can submit by end of January. Will there be an issue at the Canadian port of entry if I try to enter with my work permit after I've submitted my PR application? What should I prepare to strengthen the plan to return to my home country after my temporary residence is over (assuming my PR is not granted)? On the contrary, should I wait to apply for the PR after I enter Canada on the work permit?

All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!

No issues at port of entry. You already have your work permit.

Doesn't matter when you submit your PR application. You can do that now.

Thanks @scylla! Just to clarify - the work permit will be issued to me when I enter Canada for the first time in March. Even that won't create an issue if I submit my PR application beforehand? Also, what sort of questions and documents, in particular, should I be prepared for justifying home ties?
