Hi,
This is regarding dual-intent.
I'm going to do an outland PR application for my wife in India. Her police verification & medical is already complete, but at last check her PCC file is delayed so I still haven't submitted the immigration application yet. However, she wants to apply for a TRV to Canada so she can at least visit me while the immigration process is going on, and I've got the Invitation letter and all documents to supplement her application.
Based on my own research from reading this forum, looks like she has to present a compelling and clear case of her intentions to the visa officer and that she definitely plans to return to India before the visa expires. She has quit her job but still has a lot of ties to family in her country.
I'm looking to get some guidance from those that have applied and successfully got a visa for Canada, well before the immigration process was complete. Any thoughts and recommendations?
