I hold two passport one British as I was born there and the other Irish passport as my mother is Irish. I am going to apply for the IEC Ireland, when they ask my country of citzenship do I have to say dual or can I just say Irish as that's the passport I will be applying with.

I can not apply for the UK IEC as the cut off is 31 and I am 32 so as they Irish is 35 and they have scrapped proof of habitual residency it would seem I should be eliable even though I have never lived in Ireland.

Thanks for help

Hi Littlemiss,
I'm wondering if you got any answers about applying for the Irish IEC without an Irish address, like you I assumed when the habitual residency clause was scrapped that it wouldnt be a problem but I've just set up my Kompass account and it asks for a permanent address in country of citizenship, my permanent address is in France, good luck if youre applying tomorrow, MaggieJ
