I have two citizenships, X and Y. In my cic profile, I declared that I have them both, but I used my X passport in the EE profile. What is problematic is that my first name is spelled differently and the last name is different. My date of birth does not match either due to a mistake when issuing my Y document. My plan is to avoid showing details of my Y ID, because I am not using it to identify myself, and it will be a headache to explain the inconsistencies. However, there is a section of the cic profile that asks for aliases. Would you recommend listing my name on the Y document as an alias? I would want to minimize information that need proof documents, but on the other hand I don't want this to be considered information hiding. What would you recommend?

Re: Dual citizenship and name alises in EE profile

It will be a headic explaining you are the same person as well! If your name, surname and date of birth dont match..

Seriously...

I bet it will be. But my question is do I need to withdraw this application now and create another one
to provide the alias name (it is impossible to update the current application and add the name), or you
think that I can get away with attaching a letter explaining the matter once I submit my documents?

I would suggest you correct the mistakes in your documents : date of birth first of all, and last name if possible.
you can update your profile, no need to create a new one.
