Hi. This is going to probably be an odd one. I was born in the US, immigrated to canada when I was 3. Lost my immigration documents, and have no idea if I have a social security number. I would like to travel but nothing is easy to find. I have applied for a us passport at the us consulate in vancouver, but I couldn't get past the part that asks if you have a social security number.i don't want to make a mistake. Of course i can't find out if I have one unless I'm physically in the states, which I cannot do without a passport. Thanks for reading.

This is not a Canadian immigration issue. Ask on a US immigration forum.

You can apply for a SSN at one of the SSA's resident office. You would need birth certificate for sure though.
