Hi, I need some advice. If anyone had same experience, please help me out. Thank you.

I lived in usa for 5 years, overstayed my h1b1 visa. Left usa for canada 2019, filed asylum in canada. now 4 years later I want to apply for usa tourist visa again but on rtd, ds160 form is asking if I ever stayed in usa, or ever had usa visa? if say yes, would it reflect my visa application?

Anyone had same experience, what did you put in your ds160 visa application? Advise please. Thank you
You need to say yes to that question.. you overstayed your visa in the US. If you say NO, that will be misrepresentation...

Did you accrue any unlawful presence in the USA with your overstay ? Did you get a ban with this unlawful presence ? You do NOT want to lie on a US visa application. This can lead to visa denial, visa ban, or permanent ban from entering the USA. The United States Penalties are far harsher than Canada's and there is NO appeal

Dear Members,

I am applying for a US B1/B2 visa and have been filling out the DS-160 form. The purpose of my application is to visit the US as a tourist. However, I currently do not have any specific travel plans or itinerary. I only intend to travel after the visa is approved, which, if I am correct, may take up to two years.

I am confused about the "Contact Person or Organization in the United States" field under the "U.S. Point of Contact Information" section.

I do not have any relatives or friends in the U.S., nor do I have an organization that I plan to visit. My intention is to visit New York or Boston. However, the form does not allow me to select both "Do Not Know" options together.

My question is: Is it essential to have a hotel reservation? If so, for which date, since the approval date of my application is unknown? Please advise.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

You can put a hotel address you want to stay in during your visit. No need for booking.

For the intention visit date put it after a year or so.

Hi folks!
Today I had visa interview at us consulate Toronto. Everything was ok. I got approved. Most important documents:
1) Ds160
2) notice of decision (original)
3) photo
4) passport/travel document

They did not ask for any other documents. Like bank statements, hotel or flight reservations.
But I think the most important question what do you do for work? They ask this question to every single person.
Hello, how long after your approval did you receive your visa?
