DS 5535 form

My friend had his appointment for b1/b2 yesterday at Us consulate general toronto. The VO said his visa has been issued but almost an hour later he received an email stating that he need to provide additional information which I believe is the DS 5535 form . Is there anyone in the group who went through the same and how much time was required to get it processed? Please let me know. Thank you

Does your friend have any updates? I’m on the same boat. The embassy told me my visa was issued and then send me an questionnaire.
