I stopped going to university because I wanted to do my own business.

Before I literally stopped going to school, I found out that my business could be supported by the federal government under the Startup Visa Program.

There are about 50 business incubators across the country so I contacted each and got them to support my business and help me thru getting PR.

Fortunately, quite a few of them offered to help my business and I was able to apply for a temporary work permit while my PR is processing.

My company (called Visaflo) is still at the very early stage and pivoted multiple times but raised a seed round from a renowned early-stage investor.

I'm seeing many friends of mine struggling a lot because they don't see their future in their current school/curriculum. If you have a clear mission/vision on what you want to do, I want to encourage you to go for it. Life is just too short.

+ If you are an entrepreneur, especially in tech, who needs some one to talk to, I'm always open :)

What I know is that when anybody crossed the border to this country as a student I didn't think she/he could change status easily from a study permit to a Work permit, the pathway to PR as an investor has a lot of restrictions, if it is that easy I'm sure would not see Chinese in college, Play your card well, in the end it is between you and IRCC
