Hi,

I completed my landing by the end of the last year. I live right next to the boarder in USA. My PR card has arrived on the Canadian address I have given and I wanted to go to Canada to pick it up. Can I enter Canada by car if I do not have my PR card in hand? When I landed, the immigration officer has attached one of the COPR papers to my passport. Is the enough to enter by car? Immigration officer mentioned I can enter Canada if I drive. I just wanted to confirm if anyone has ever done this before.

Thank you.

Yes, I am still waiting for my PR card. I drove from Seattle to Vancouver with just passport and COPR two weeks ago.

Any recent experiences? I called Border Control and they mentioned it will be up to the discretion of the border agent at time of entry.
