Hi,

I will be driving my car which is still not paid off completely. After reading some forums it seems like it all depends on your luck. Does anyone know if it's OK to drive in your car , or a rental car is the preferable way to go.

Thanks
Sid

You can drive in your car, however, you can't import it without a specific letter from your lien holder that they release you to do it. Most of the time, they will NOT do that and you'll not be able to import the car until you've paid it off in full and they release the title.

I am sorry, I should have mentioned that I will be coming back in a week. I have read horror stories that people were not be allowed to take the car across unless you import it.

Hi,

I'm in the same dilemma now. What did you end up doing?
