Hello

I was hoping someone could shed some light on this problem. I had a driving license since 2011 and that expired on 2016. Apparently that DL was not official and there was no record as is the case with our impressive govt offices. Now I went through getting a learners and then a new DL issued. Now the problem is that DL shows issued from 2016. What do I do? How do I show my driving history from 2011? How do I prove it and authenticate it for Ontario? Any help would be appreciated.

Umm this doesn't answer the question

try getting an international licence, it will help u clearing G1 level quickly

The International DL will only let us drive for 2 to 3 months max. Then too is the long wait. Whereas I am looking for daily commute

This link clearly states what is acceptable.
To obtain credit for more than 12 months licensed driving experience, applicants are required to obtain written authentication of their foreign licensed driving experience from the originating licensing agency, or from the embassy, consulate or high commissioners' offices representing the jurisdiction. The authentication letter must be on official letterhead and be written in either English or French.
Applicants will be credited with their foreign licensed driving experience as certified on the authentication letter.
There is no mention of an "International Driver's License".

If your DL wasn't an official DL then I think you're out of luck and will have to find a way to commute via public transit (or have someone drive you instead).
