first 90days u can use ur indian license to drive car after that u need to appear for a knowlege test and after that a driving test u need, as well as if u have indian license 2year old can make a experience letter from DTO office which can help to ease the process of driving license in canada

No such thing.

You can drive for 3 months on your indian license but will have to get a BC DL after that. The process has been explained already; you read a book, write a knowledge test on a computer. If you pass the knowledge test, you get a learner's license with some restrictions. You can use the learner's license to drive/ learn to drive. Then you have to a driving test in order to get a full license.

Insurance will most likely be very expensive without a discount. You get discount for a clean driving history. If you have held a driver's license in India for some time, you may be able to get a discount based on your insurance claim history but i dont know exactly how that works. I think ICBC (the only insurer in BC) will ask for a letter from your insurance company in India stating the time period you insured your car with them and any claims history and may issue you a discount on insurance based on that. Probably best to go to an ICBC licensing office after you arrive to get all the details.
