dear schylla do you mean someone can choose ?for example I would prefer to get trained on automatic cars, would it be mandatory learning to drive also with the manual way?scylla said:Most are automatic - but both standard and automatic are easily available. If someone wants to learn how to drive they have to pick between standard and automatic.
It's not mandatory. You can choose either one.ninakap30 said:dear schylla do you mean someone can choose ?for example I would prefer to get trained on automatic cars, would it be mandatory learning to drive also with the manual way?
I see do you please know if there are any limitations to get a driving licence if you have myopia?I use lenses,I have a quite big grade of myopia...Rob_TO said:If buying a car brand new, typically an automatic car will cost approx $1000 (give or take) more than a manual car. And in general each year there are far more automatic cars being sold vs manuals in Canada.
A common joke with some actual truth to it, is that one of the best anti-theft devices you can have for your car in Canada is a manual transmission, since young car thiefs don't know how to drive them.
There are certainly restrictions if you have any medical issues that may result in vision impairment and it being unsafe for you to drive. I really don't know much about myopia though, so for this it's better to check directly with Alberta MOT or a doctor in Alberta familiar with their driving licensing requirements.
