In a few hours, my husband is stepping on a plane to come to Canada as a Canadian Permanent Resident. It is so fitting on this special day, that he will arrive in Canada when we start to celebrate Eid-Al fitr!!

This Ramadan holiday has been very emotional - within one month I lost my mom to her battle with cancer on the first day of Ramadan, and receive my husband the day after it's closing, when we start to celebrate the passing of the holy month.

Many of you are still passing through the immigration process and are waiting for your loved ones - Don't give up hope - it will come, be steadfast and patient! To those like myself who are doen, Congrats and Welcome to Canada !!!!! :-)

Almost two years ago, I met my second half, my naseeb [alhumdulelah] and now inshallah he will be here with me - as we start our new life together in Canada.

As many others who are still here, I will continue to post and give what advice I can - and I have even started my own projects to contribute to helping others as best I can.

I am so happy for everything and want to share a fitting song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4NRPp1cNtk

see you around :-)

Congratulations! and Eid Mubarak

Congrats! I hope one day I can say the same thing but I fear so much that I won't.

How do you hold strong through this all?
What additional documents did you include and how did you organize them?

I could really use some ideas.

Rasha,

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. And at the same time I am very happy that you will be reunited with your husband today. Enjoy the moment.

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that all of this happened during Ramadan. Think about it. It's a month about being grateful to God for all of the blessings he has bestowed upon you and to reaffirm your commitment to his guideance, love and teachings. You believe that all things are His plan for you so it would lead one to believe that He scripted your sorrow and your joy in such a way to provide you with comfort and hope.

Good luck Rasha to you and your husband. Eid Mubarak Said.

ColorMe panda,

Instead of reposting a LOT of information that I did already, I will include links of the posts I added to, as you will find not only my information, but several others as well. I would also highly suggest you use the SEARCH tool on the site, as you will find many questions easily and quickly answered by those who have posted the same questions in the past....

Please note that the requirements for my husband's country might be different than yours, unless you are applying from Egype :). But the links about all speak to the questions you asked, that I have previously posted.

sorry to hear about your Mother, Rasha. Hope the presence of your dear hubby close to you will soothe your pain and brings the happiest united family life in Canada!

Thank you so much.
I read all of them.

I just hope I don't get turned down if I don't have as much evidence as everyone.
Like we talked on the phone alot but my mom and his mom don't have the bills anymore.
Are there anyways to get them? We don't have a ton of emails but we have a few.
We have a ton of pictures and my friends/family and his are both writing letters.

We have four people from his family writing one and about 5 from my friends and family.

What part of the applications did you try to get finished first and what did you do last?

Rasha, first I am so sorry for your lost, as they say God has his own calendar, she is in a better place now. Hope your husband will have a smooth landing and everything will be ok with you two. Have a great life in Canada with your husband, keep posting your advice here, it feels good helping other new people on this forum, by telling them that we were there, and we know it is hard, but it will be over soon, be strong and patient.
Tell your husband on my behalf, Welcome to Canada.
Good luck

Congratulations Rasha!!!

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. She is safe with God now and she will forever be looking down on you and taking care of you from above. I hope your husband arrives safely to Canada and I hope the two of you have a long and happy life together.

You've been so helpful to all of us here, so please keep posting your advise and encouragement to all of us here who are still waiting for our applications to be finalized.

Guys, thanks for the kind words. My mom is in a better place - thanks to God, and her suffering has ended. I am with my husband now, and we are starting our life in the new way - alhumdulelah.

I will be around ;)
