Hello

New to the forums. My spouse has just received her draw to sponsor her parents on January 7th, 2021. I have some specific questions as she has charged me with filling out the paperwork...fun! I will be co-signing the application although she already meets the financial requirements on her own. I'll go by form if that helps.

It's her, myself, parents (2) and her sibling that doesn't qualify as a dependent (too old). I have previously sponsored my spouse, but the undertaking had ended some time ago.

IMM008 General app
Application details Q3. How many family members included in the application? I put 3 since it's her and parents. Now is this wrong as in the form it asks information for dependent. I know I need to fill it out, but do we include him to make it 4 or 5 with me?

IMM5768 Financial evaluation
Now this one is confusing me even with the guide (badly written).
#2 is 1 (her)
#3 is 2, 3 or 4?
#4 ii is 1 (me)

so when it comes to #7 the total should be her, me, her parents =4
confusing...

Anyone with experience or know about this can assist please?

Thank you.

Total family is 4. The non-dependent sibling does not count.

So on IMM008 Question 3 it would be 3 (myself, father, mother). Do I still need to add my brother in-laws information even if he doesn't qualify as a dependent? If I need to add it, then box 3 would turn to 4. But then, IMM5768 would be total 5...confusing sorry.

On IMM5768, we would be a total of 4.

Thank you.

Your brother in law is NOT part of the immediate family if he is not a dependent of your in-laws. (asuming that he is over 22)
You only need to mention him in the additional family form.

And why are you in the IMM008 ??? You are just a son-in-law. Not part of your in-law's immediate family as well....
When you fill in the form, make sure who you are filling in the form for.
If that form is for principle applicant (your father-in-law, I assume), then think as if you are him to fill the info out...

Hello, I have a quick question about my mom's sponsorship.

I had filled the intent to sponsor form for my mom and have been invited to apply.

My question is - my brother is under 21 and is dependent on my mom. Could someone please suggest me if my brother can also been sponsored even though there was no information mentioned about him in the Intent To Sponor form ?

Please advise.

Thanks so much, in advance.

I see your brother is under 21. Yes, he must be included in the application. You need enough LICO to cover yourself, your mother, your father, your brother - as well as your spouse and children if applicable.

I might have miswrote that part. I am only helping them to fill out the forms. I am not including myself.

I have a question, for the 2018 tax return, the minimum income level is 60271$ and I had 59384$ , which is around 900$ short than the minimum criteria , but all years 2020, 2019 after that I am over the minimum figure will this difference be considered please advise.

Yes. You didn’t meet the minimum level and your application will be refused. It doesn’t matter that you met minimum for 2019 and 2020. People are rejected for being short $50.

Always amazes me how people seem to ignore the one requirement that is needed to apply for PGP. You have to make over the LICO amount for your family size for 3 years except Quebec.

Much appreciate to those of you whom have responded. Application is completed and being reviewed by them. Again, thank you.
