Doubt regarding canada visa

Hello friends ,

my name is Kumar from Chennai, india. I have completed MCA in 2009 and have work exp of 2.7 yrs as an web developer. i got a admission in a institute for Diploma in IT and business communication .I have got Overall 6.0 in IELTS.

Some of my friends saying that MCA graduate cant get visa for diploma course,
and from a college in canada they are saying the person applying for visa should not have gap of 5 years for applying study visa?

Hi,

1.You have already done graduate level Master degree in India. So, you must apply for same or higher level course, i.e a Master's degree in any Univ. OR at-least a Post graduate certificate/diploma of 1 or 2 years in your field of study. Applying for a study visa with an admission letter in a lower level course such a plain diploma/certificate will most probably cause rejection.

2. All those rules such as no gap, min 50% for admission to colleges under SPP is a total myth. Yes, saying that, I'm sure having more percentage/ less gap will definitely help in making your profile stronger, but in now way there is any specified rule, that if you have 5 years gap, you cannot apply. Although, it would be better to fill in those gaps by showing what you did like work etc.

3. Most Universities/ colleges require a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no bands less than 6.0 for graduate level courses.

Hi friend,

As you said i have plan to show my UG degree alone instead of PG degree and for that 3 year if i put 3 years working exp will be a problem ?

The institute which i applied want IELTS of 5.5 overall and i got 6.0 and in one band 5 will this will be affect on visa process?

And iam doing diploma course of IT related to my profession and for visa clearance i have join course of business communication will it will be an added advantage?

1. Read my previous reply/post clearly. Either you didn't understand what I said, or I'm having difficulty understanding what you have written! ??? :-X Dude!!! I never said you can plan to show UG degree alone!!! OMG!!! You cannot plan to SHOW your UG degree alone. Whatever degree you hold, that must be truthfully mentioned on your visa application. I said, SINCE YOU ARE A PG/MASTER'S DEGREE HOLDER, YOU MUST APPLY FOR A SIMILAR POST GRADUATE LEVEL COURSE AND NOT A LOWER LEVEL COURSE LIKE DIPLOMA (AS IT IS IN YOUR CASE, BECAUSE YOU HOLD an MCA).

2. The course you applied for is a DIPLOMA (pursued after 12th standard) and hence IELTS requirements are lower. You need at least IELTS minimum score of 6.5 overall with no bands less than 6.0, to apply to a Master's degree or a post grad cert/diploma course of 1 or 2 years. As I already said above, you are applying for a lower level course and so, no matter what your IELTS score is, your visa will most probably be rejected.

3. Again, it doesn't matter if you are doing a DIPLOMA course (which is lower than your current level of qualification) in IT related field. You need to pursue a Master's or at-least a PG certificate/diploma course of 1 or 2 years ,which must also be related to your field(IT).

Conclusion: YOU MUST DO A SIMILAR OR HIGHER LEVEL COURSE RELATED TO YOUR FIELD, WITH AN IELTS SCORE OF MINIMUM 6.5, WITH NO BANDS LESS THAN 6.0 ( TO APPLY FOR A GRADUATE LEVEL COURSE IN YOUR FIELD) TO MAXIMIZE YOUR CHANCES FOR GETTING STUDY PERMIT.

I really hope, it's clear now, and I can't explain it in any more simpler and detailed manner !

Hi,

1. Your 3 years work experience certificate without the submission of Form 16/ITR will be of NO USE.
2. Yes, 5.0 in one band will be a negative point.
3. It's NOT possible to secure visa for a Diploma program on the basis of an undergraduate degree or MCA. Only 12th pass students are good to apply for Diploma courses.
